Mid-Week Update: Haiti Relief Concerts in NYC – This Week!

Hey all, I’m going to keep this one short, but I just wanted to bring to everyone’s attention a great way to help out victims of the recent 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Haiti, while opening your ears to some great world music.

This Sunday the 24th, Drom NYC, located at 85 Avenue A (between 5th and 6th) is hosting The World Stands With Haiti. It’s going to be quite an event, starting at 6pm and lasting until midnight. Here’s the official flier:

It looks like there will be musicians from all across the musical spectrum, so it will be a great show and I hope you all will be able to attend!

Also, City Winery (155 Varick St. in NYC) is in the midst of four nights of Haiti relief concerts, the last two being this coming Sunday and Monday.Wednesday’s show included Patti Smith and The Swell Season, tonight’s line up includes Mr. Willie Nelson, and Nada Surf and Madeleine Peyroux are among the artists scheduled to play Sunday.¬†Check out the City Winery¬†website for the full artist listing.
